Hello, I'm Ahmed, a sound designer working and living in Tokyo, Japan.
My sound design journey began in a somewhat unconventional way. Some of my earliest childhood memories were spent in hospital, suffering from an ear condition that could have left me deaf. During this time, I sought solace in video games; but an inability to hear properly left me with a sense that I was missing something. When my hearing was restored, it was transformative - like stepping from a black-and-white world into one filled with vibrant colour. To this day, I believe this triggered a lifelong obsession with sound.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked as an artist and composer, specialising in music production, sound design, and audio engineering. I’ve composed, recorded, mixed, and mastered tracks for a wide range of projects, from indie games to albums across many genres. My work is influenced by the soundscapes of classic video games like Kingdom Hearts, Sonic, Final Fantasy and Mega Man, which taught me how sound can elevate stories and create unforgettable memories. Today, I channel that inspiration into crafting my own soundscapes, with the goal that one day, my own work will inspire the next generation of gamers and developers.
